- Eugene ‘Scotch’ Essig – Lead story writer. Family man (alledgedly). Childhood friend of Cookie.
Supporting characters
- Barry Michaels – Obnoxious neighbor. Filthy rich. Talentless thrill seeker.
- Janice ‘Jay-Jay’Jones – Office secretary. Bipolar powder keg. Love interest to Cookie (but not vice versa).
- Nadia Essig – Wife to Eugene. Mother to Peter Essig. Bitch to all but Peter (and Cookie, for some reason).
- Peter ‘Pewter’ Essig – Army buff. Dimwit. Son to Eugene and Nadia.
